"Blood of Dresden" by Kurt Vonnegut

Please read the following nonfiction piece, written by Kurt Vonnegut, a celebrated American author, humorist, and satirist, about his experiences in World War II. Vonnegut was a POW in the German city of Dresden while it was being bombed by Allied planes. His actual experiences as a POW formed the basis for his famous, controversial satirical/sci-fi novel, "Slaughterhouse-Five."
